Flight's been delayed to tomorrow morning; so I've had an extra day to hang out with my friends :) Currently trying to finish packing and wondering whether to wear my boots or my sneakers on the chopper tomorrow... The boots are really heavy if I were to carry them around, however, as a guy I met today so nicely put it "It's harder to swim of you're wearing safety boots". Decisions, decisions lol!

Should be off to bed now, early early flight tomorrow. Really wanted to fly off today so I could get used to the rig, plus get over my (if any) seasickness before the job starts tomorrow afternoon. Oh well.

i raelly wanted to go see the cat show :( i knew it'd be around sultans bday.. but didnt know when exactly, then i just missed it. :(

im off on sunday.. can't wait! i wanna try the fish thing too. although i don't know if i can tahan cos im just ticklish. :P

The house is currently being renovated; meaning that for the past 2 weeks I've been woken up too early in the mornings by the sounds of banging, hammering and sawing. And then if that wasn't bad enough, they've started painting the house right outside my room; so I've been breathing in paint fumes for goodness knows how long. The house is an absolute tip! Can't wait for the workers to finish so I can have my peace and quiet back again.

Not that it will matter from tomorrow on anyways, will be back at work til the 12th of August. Will be going offshore for the first time; to S's rig for a certain operation. Looking forward to it, I'm interested in seeing how things work compared to my usual rig, plus I hope this will finally give me a proper chance to catch with S! I haven't seen her in months; our schedules just don't seem to match up properly. Back to my usual outfit of coveralls, clunky boots and scraped back hair for the next two weeks. I always feel ever so slightly masculine when I'm at work, but at the same time it's refreshing that I don't have to put too much effort into what to wear and stuff haha... But I'm already planning what to do on my time off! Too early? Probably, but sometimes I just need that little bit extra to motivate me during my 2 weeks on haha...

Spent my weekend sorting out errands with my mom, sent 2 of my kain raya off to the tailor; this year I'm sending my kains to 2 different tailors. I just haven't been satisfied with my usual tailor's work over the past couple of years, so I thought I would cut my losses and send to 2 different places, hopefully there's a chance that at least one out of the two kains I'll send over to them will turn out good. Not that I'm too bothered to be honest, I haven't been feeling the raya mood so far. I went kain shopping last weekend only cause I was under duress from my mom. I guess it stems from the fact that it'll be my first raya without my grandmother, and anyways, according to the current work schedule I'll be working the first week of raya. Not sure whether I want to take time off yet... P may be coming back for raya, but until I get confirmation, I think I'll just leave my schedule as it is. I'm not the only one that's been feeling disenchanted with raya, a couple of my other friends feel the same. I guess after spending 4 Rayas overseas, you start to get used to it not being too big of a deal?

Woke up early today (early for a Sunday that is) to go down to KB to catch the cat show; there were sooo many cute cats! Some of them were really naughty, trying to grab and bite at people through the bars of their cage, and others were just sleepy heads, sleeping on top of their cages, without caring a whit about the people around them. I'm always so tempted to get one of my own, but I don't think now's a good time, what with me being away 2 weeks out of a month..Maybe when I go back to the office for good I'll think about getting a house cat... But until then it's enough for me to just coo over other people's cats...

Bit of a boring update, but that's cause I've had nothing going on the past 2 weeks! Need to pack my stuff for tomorrow (along with several requests from my friends already offshore, most notably bbq Ruffles and KitKats), and actually read the description of what I'll be doing over the next couple of days!

Looks like this blog is only going to be updated fortnightly; based on the last couple of entries. On my 2 weeks off again, finally! I was knackered by the end of my hitch this time, 2 weeks felt like forever! The worst point was when I woke up 2 mondays ago, and where I would normally be thinking along the lines of "Yes, I'm tired, but it's ok because I get to go home tomorrow", last time it was a case of "I'm tired, but I've just remembered I have another week to go, shit!" :P Lol! But it's all worth it for the 2 weeks off, been spending it catching up on my sleep.

Also, starting to catch up on all those dvds I've been stockpiling over the past couple of weeks; and I've also scheduled some pampering time for myself. Not got any definitely travelling plans for this break, but still hoping something will come up. Otherwise, it's probably a good idea to just stay in and relax.

btw, we've stopped going to dance class cos something really inappropriate happened the last time we went... R brought her boyfriend who sat in on our class and was filming everyone with his phone, and everytime someone got up to look, he'd buang kes... silly right? so we dont feel so comfortable going anymore.. :s
