Oh, my aching back... I feel like I'm 60 or something; my back aches and I cant walk too fast or far casue my feet hurt =P Hehe... All this was brought about by my...(a bit too) energetic dance lesson yesterday, we did the jive and the waltz, 2 of my favourite dances...Cause I've not done any of the patterns taught by the teacher before, I was insistent on practicing them over and over and over..til I actually developed blisters on the soles of my feet...oy vey =P My dance shoes are really slippy now too, cause they've been worn smooth and I don't even have a shoe brush to fix it, so I'm slipping and sliding all over the place! After torturing my feet with the jive, I moved on to my back, with the waltz...Cause the girls have to have a curved backwards stance during the waltz, it hurts a lot to maintain your posture..However I've figured out that your partner's supposed to support the small of your back and that lessens the pain, so next year's partner had better learn that trick pretty sharpish or I'll end up breaking my back on the floor or something! =P Yesterday's session was fun though, cant wait for Friday night now =)

I'm usually the youngest person in the class, and I think this makes some of the men there think I'm an easy target...First of all, one of them, a teacher, was saying dodgy stuff like "you've got nice eyes" and "you've got nice hips" etc while dancing with me.. I'm trying to avoid him, but in a class of like....8 its pretty hard to avoid someone. Specially when the teacher always insists you switch dance partners so you always dance with the different guys at least once..One of the guys in the class has got some dancing experience and he's pretty cute too actually haha...for an older guy that is ;o) And I couldnt believe it when he texted me today asking me out, apparently he got my number off the class register! Dunno whether to feel flattered or slightly disconcerted... =/

Ooh ooh I manned a booth at a career exhibition today!! Was good fun actually hehe... I think I enjoy talking thats why I enjoy doing these exhibitions *blush* I swear some people just tune out when I start talking lol....Weird thing was, S99's sister (I didn't catch your name hun) was in the crowd!! Buleh kana tanya whether I had a blog or not... haha expose ehhhh *shy* Mannn... each time I do an exhibition I'm reminded of how old I am.. it feels like ages since I was that age, kinda too shy to ask Qs even though I wanted to know more, and going to these exhibitions just to skive class heheh :P Standing around in heels the whole day didn't help my back much, I can tell y'all that =P Next up : MD! =D

Right, should start getting ready, going to perayaan tonight with the Seria ladies haha...

Ciao!!

Good morning all! =)

Started work this Monday, and it feels like I've been back forever, even though I haven't even done a full week's worth =P My supervisor's been away for the past week, so I've not been doing much..Been catching up with my friends and my colleagues from the years before hehe...It took forever to sort out my Gi-D card and email account too, apparently cause there're loads of other attachment students around the office as well.. But it's all been done now, so it's all good.. Was talking to the graduate focal point at the office about possible paths after I graduate, and I'm pretty sure that I wanna continue for another year after graduation, assuming that I get the grades that is.. *fingers crossed* hehe.. One thing I like about doing attachments is taking part in career exhibitions and apparently there's one next week that I'm been scheduled for! Yay =D heheh...

On a more serious note, been reading and hearing reports about the London bombings being planned and carried out by people from Leeds...A *bit* too close to home I think =S Apparently the police evacuated and searched houses in Leeds where I was staying the couple of days after I got back from Milan, before flying home!! My friend texted me saying that he just saw his house on the CNN! =S =S Scary eh... and the backlash from the locals cause of the bombings is gonna be even more scary...Hope it won't affect any of us; I personally dont think I'll get any stick cause I don't exactly look Malay/Muslim, but some of my friends might =S

So how's everyone spending their long weekend? Think today I'll just laze around at home (not like anything's open today anyways =P) and catch up with all my dvds =D Definitely going up o the capital tomorrow, cause the new Harry Potter's out and I've reserved my copy heheh...Also, depending on something might come back with a new toy too heheh...I've been looking forward to HM's birthday since I got back, casue it signals the usual fest of local food stalls.. *drool* Heheh... goodbye any weight (if any) lost during Greece! =P

Enjoy the holiday guys!! xoxo

Tagger replies :

Insomniac - Heheh so all I have to do is make sure my grades stay the same then and they'll be cool about things?? :)

Oops - How's life?? When're you coming back? I had no time with you at all this time, rinduuu u :( heheh...

Hey guys, so did everyone have a good weekend? Spent most of yesterday with my old friends; it was like we were back in secondary school, hanging out at one friend's house, watching telly, lounging about, etc...

Today went to the capital with the parentals, I've been craving dim sum since I got back, so finally satisfied that craving hehe...Was joined by 2 of my friends during lunch, then we all went to the vcd shop, and I think I went a bit overboard getting dvds of all the movies I've missed since I've been away, like Madagascar, Kingdom of Heaven, etc etc.. Also got this dvd boxset of Tru Calling, starring Eliza Dushku (Faith from Buffy). Its about this girl who the dead speaks to, and she's given a chance to help the dead right their wrongs... or something along those lines anyway, not too sure myself hehe. Then went to send a friend off to Brisbane at the airport, and I was all prepared to cry and all when he left, skali when we got there, we found out he wasnt flying off after all, cause of a slight technical problem with his passport =P Spoilt the mood completely, even when he managed to sort out the problem and was allowed to fly off today after all, the tears wouldnt come haha... It was more of a happy farewell than a sad one.. Not that we're happy to see him go, but the circumstances were just... silly =P

Satisfied another food craving after that when we all went for dinner at Escapade... I've been wanting sushi since Athens; like 2 weeks ago!! Have to admit I was a bit sakai when I was there, didnt know what to do, what to order, etc.. Haha... First time there,u know lah... Anyways, was good, hanging out with my ex-schoolmates, and especially w/my best girlfriends...It felt like old times when we would share everything...I mean.. we were being soo girly on the drive back, helping our friend compose a text to a guy, and we talked about our experiences, relationships, etc... Even though I haven't seen these girls in almost a year, and it takes us a while to warm up.. when we get back in the groove, we *really* get back into it =) It was great...

So yeah, first day of work tomorrow sigh... I'm doubting that they'll have prepared anything for me, so hopefully I can bum around for a coupla days... And then dance later at night!! =D Hope I can get to sleep tonight, I didnt get to sleep til 330 am last night!!! I can't be jetlagged still, but I dunno... I'm just not tired when I get into bed =S

Much love,
Me xoxo

...And I'm baaaccckk! Cheh, macam nada keraja banar... Oh yeah, I *dont* have any keraja hehe =P So I was just chatting to a good friend of mine and we were discussin parents and relationships... And I just got to thinking..

How'd you guys tell your parents about your first ever relationship? How old were you? Did they take it well, or did they play the "you're too young to have a relationship, study first" card? And if they did, how'd u guys get out of that situation?

Thing is, I'm 21 but my parents are still adamant that I should finish my studies before I even entertain the thought of having a relationship, let alone actually having one... I've got no clue how to change their minds or even how to broach the subject to them...Its like an automatic response of "No, you're too young for a relationship, graduate first" whenever I even mention the word "boy" around them...Sometimes I try telling my mom about guys but she's like got an automatic boy barrier and says "Uh-huh, ok, treat him like an older brother and nothing else" at practically everything I say!! My dad? An even more automatic auditory shutdown and an oral response of "You start work first!" I don't wanna skulk around behind their backs and stuff, but what else can I do? Not that I'm saying I've done any skulking around, but you know, if the time came and everything *innocent* =) What if I'm like... expired or something by the time I start working? I don't wanna be old and unmarried!! =( Lol...

Anyways, just drop me some tags and comments if you have any advice or stories to share... Thankies people

Peace out xoxo

Heys everyone, went to my first dance lesson at the BSRC tonight, and it was great!! Hehe.. it was good to be dusting off my dance shoes and to be putting them through their paces again =D We were salsa-ing tonight, and it was like me and my friends were the only beginners in the place, everyone had been learning the dance for at least a coupla lessons =P caught up pretty quick though, thank you, Dancesport! lol... As usual there was like a 2:1 ratio of girls:boys, but it wasnt a bad turnout...Apparently there're more guys than girls on some nights... huh I'd like to see that at least once in my life =P Anyway it was definitely a good and much-needed exercise, all this hip shaking works up a sweat, y'know? ;o)

Weekend tomorrow!! Think I'll make a trip to a bookshop, need to stock up on reading supplies, the 4 books I brought back with me are almost finished =P Also, think I'll be having a nice girly lunch with Mom, catch up on stuff, no men allowed! =D

Will be sending a friend off at the airport on Sunday, dude's going off to Aussie and I only knew sometime this week, the cheeky bugger =P Then work on Monday, sigh... Just found out that 2 of my usual partners in crime've been attached outside of HQ, hope I get placed in the same department as other people in my batch, would be a bit boring if I didnt =/

Right then, more 24-ing I think...? 24 isnt actually as much fun when you're watching it alone.. I miss my fellow 24-philers!! There's noone to clutch, pinch, hit or scream with when the exciting stuff happens onscreen =P

Nights xoxo

Heys everyone, how's it hanging? =P Its about 1230 am now, and as usual, I'm wide awake, so its time for my daily/nightly ramblings hehe... Wish my sleep pattern'd get back to normal pretty soon-ish, or I'm gonna be in deep trouble(sleep) when work starts! =P

Did everyone hear about the London bombings? I'm speechless; I don't actually have a clue what to say, except to offer my condolences to the victims' families, and I pray to God noone any of us knew was injured or worse in the blast..From what I heard, the Bruneian embassy don't think any Bruneians were hurt, so thank god for that...I hope the people who've done this will be caught and brought to justice...

Also, another thing I didn't know was that Luther Vandross had passed away... Another great singing legend gone, I loved his singing and songs.. "Dance with My Father Again" is my favourite song from him, really really sad and beautiful.. If you guys haven't heard it before, I suggest you take a listen to it, get some tissue ready tho =)

I was wondering, has anyone ever got international phone cards online before? To use in Brunei I mean? Cause yeah, I got this card from an American website, abour US$20 worth, and its given me the access number to dial from Brunei and all, but the phone number isn't valid..I've tried calling them and they've been perfectly reasonable and helpful but I still cant call the access number...the number's 800013, everytime I dial it, i get an "Invalid phone number" message...how?? =P Should I use the country code before dialling the number, or, something else?? I never had this problem back in the UK, it's so frustrating cause I really need to use that card =P Any help would be much much appreciated =)

So, right, today I held off as long as I could without texting him, but by about 9pm I couldnt stand it and fired off a text to him (Sue me, I'm weak! =P)..Imagine my face when he replied almost immediately with "Haha.. I won, you texted me first, I wanted to see who'd text first...I was suffering, but I won =D" I could've kicked myself for not waiting just that lil bit longer, that bitch! Haha...Hmph, we'll see who wins tomorrow =P

/edit - Shit thought I'd lost this whole post when the window went a bit wonky.. Phew, thank god for the recover post option hehe...

Right then, think I'll sign off for now...

Night all!! xoxo

Met up with my friends today, caught up on some gossip heheh...Had to wake up at 9am, and I almost didnt make it lol! Going to Bandar tomorrow, and I've got to wake up at like 8 am tomorrow...Man, it just gets earlier and earlier =/ Guess I should be practicing so I can wake up on time for work starting next week...

P/s: Been talking too much about a certain topic to some people, cause I'm a bit confused over the whole situation... To you guys who had to listen to me, thanks for the advice, much appreciated heheh...

pp/s: Blogger is taking absolutely agessss to upload 4(!!) pictures! I miss UK web =P Looks like the pics might've to wait a *bit* longer..Bloody dial-up/espeed/bruneian internet

/edit Deleted the question I asked above, think I got my own answer last night =) Trip to Bandar cancelled, my friend chipped his tooth and had to get it fixed today =P Good for me actually, could sleep in this morning... (til about 2 pm =D) Think today I'll try and unpack...or maybe I'll just stay in front of the telly and watch as many episodes of 24 as I can heheh...

I'm going to a ballroom class at BSRC tomorrow night, hope its good, need to keep my mind refreshed about the dance steps, havent danced for over 2 months now! Cant wait actually, a couple of my friends should be coming round too.. Think its the salsa and tango tmw, should be good =)

From Brunei, at 4am...Just a lil *bit* jetlagged I think =P been up since about 2 am, and I was asleep by 9pm last night...It's the most frustrating thing in the world to not be able to sleep when you know (and you can hear) that everyone else in the house is fast asleep...

Was tossing and turning for about 2 hours trying to will myself off into dreamland, but guess my body's had enough sleep...Cheeky monkey =P I hate the first few days after arriving back home, either Uk or Brunei...The hours just stretch ahead of you, and you wonder what in the world you're going to do to occupy all that time..This is particularly true for when I'm back in Brunei...other than the net, telly, ps2, what else is there to do at 2-4 am? So I ended up texting people, I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that my phone bills're gonna be extortionate this summer...everyone's spread out over the world! =P

The whole Belait district experienced a power outtage yesterday evening for about 5 hours..Now what was up with that? When I called the power company up, all they would say was that "Awu, kami pun nda bekaran ni..." I mean, thats not really what you wanna hear when you call the power company up is it? you expect them to tell you that they're trying their best to fix the probem and everything should be up and running in a coupla hours! The guy didn't even know what was going on...and that brings up another point, shouldnt the district have an alternative power source at the ready for the situations just like yesterday's? I mean, apparently there was a problem at the Lumut power plant, but shouldnt there be enough power from other generators, eg in Seria or KB to supply the district? Or from outside the district even? Ah well, just something that crossed my mind...

He called last night, m a happy bunny =) Think it cost quite a bit though, will have to see if I can get a phone card so its cheaper to call...Sigh, 2 more months til end of summer, how do I always manage to get myself into these kinds of situations?

On a completely unrelated note, when I was checking in at Heathrow on Sunday, the check in guy was really nice, he unblocked a seat for me so I'd get a seat with more leg-room, and he also let me check all my luggage in, even though they were over the weight limit by about...15 kg? Heheh have to admit I was milking my girlyness for all it was worth, no way could I have afforded the excess baggage charges =P Anyways, he ended up asking for my email add, and I just got an email from him, have to admit that its flattering to know that *some* ppl find me attractive lol *blush*

Right then, this post took about 15 minutes to write, now what else shall I do...? *twiddles thumbs* almost wish that I started my attachment today, like everyone else in my batch, but... oh well...Might get started with that season 3 24 boxset mom got me...

See everyone later!! xoxo

Hey all!! Finally back home, got back at about 6pm this evening...I slept through most of my flight, in fact I think I passed out as soon as the plane took off, I was *that* tired..I had practically no sleep in the last 3 days that I've been back at Leeds, they've been some of the most stressful times I've had...Let's begin with my flight from Milan...

First, my 8pm flight back to Manchester was delayed for 2 and a half hours, so we got into Manchester at abour 1245. I then had to wait til 135 for the next train to Leeds..I finally arrived in Leeds at about 330 am...Struggled w/our stuff into the taxi and went to my place where I had to finish packing up and move out cause my contract was expiring on that day...Got there, tried my keys and the lock was stuck...Tried again, cause I knew the lock on our door was a bit dodgy, and finally unlocked the door after a coupla tries...Was just about ready to collapse through the door and have a coupla hours nap before starting to pack, only to find out that my door was bolted...from the inside!! You guys shouldve seen me, I was very very confused, cause as far as I was concerned, I was the only one who hadnt moved out, and I had no clue who the hell could be in the house...So not only was I manky and exhausted from travelling, I was also locked out of my own house!! =/ After calling my housemates (at 4 in the morning!!) and establishing it wasnt any of them in the house, I got a bit panicked...and even tried to kick the door down! Haha.. I was not in the mood to be patient that night...Thank god I had 3 of my friends w/me, they helped me calm down...Finally after about half an hour of shouting abuse at the door and banging on it a coupla times, this girl opened it. Apparently she's one of the new tenants, and she wasnt informed of my return by the landlady...The girl wasnt happy, to say the least, but I didnt care at all. She's the one who locked ME out of MY house! =P Was planning to spend a final night in my house, but the girl was being bitchy and was like "so how long do you think you'll take, so I can lock the door after you guys?" Scratch that thought then... Still had a final nap on my bed thought, think I would've passed out if I didnt =P Moved my stuff out at about 930 and went to my friend's place where I crashed out for a coupla hours...

Went to uni later that afternoon, needed to sort some admin stuff out, and also had a meeting with someone at the international office...Then went into town for some dinner and m,e and my friends watched War of the Worlds...Pretty good film, with some excellent special effects, but I was quite disappointed with it overall... Its a bit too cheesy and ridiculous in some placed.. I mean I know it was sci-fi, but it just didint click with me, y'know? =P Got home pretty late after the movie, got home, and realised my wallet was missing =S My heart pretty much dropped right there and then, cause everything I had was in that wallet..credit cards, debit card, student card, etc etc.. Made some very panicked calls to the restaurant and cinema but they hadnt seen anything..I was in such a state, had to call my parents up so they could cancel my brunei cards, and I was panicked cause I had no money and was going home the next day, etc etc =S Again, thank goodness for my friends, who were around to calm me down...

Didnt sleep much last night either, spent most of the morning running around trying to sort my cards out, and did some last minute shopping for luggage and all. Also went over to TAD's place, cause I hadnt seen her in agesss...Was gonna stay over, but there was no chance of that happening cause I hadnt finished packing for Brunei yet...Stayed up til about 3 am I guess, trying to finish packing...

And now m finally back, I havent unpacked my stuff but I'm hoping that I didnt leave ath *too* important behind...Dont think I can sleep yet, m tired, but not that tired...I think I slept a bit too much on the plane hehe... Also, m hoping someone'll give me a text.. =P

Love from Brunei,
me xoxo
