Why can't more sites be as good as yours!!! You see I am changing my life at the moment and I have decided to start a people who work at home uk site. I am trying to get inspiration so I can become easier to talk to. You site has given me some ideas. I talk to a wide range of people and I need to relate to everyone I come across so thanks for your posts! The title 'See y'all soon!' caught my eye so I thought I'd post on this one. Cheers.

Post a Comment Wednesday, March 23, 2005Sent Coen off to Leeds Bradford Airport this morning so she could get on a plane back to Brunei sometime this afternoon. Which just leaves me and S in the house til Friday, cause A went home yesterday too. Then on Sat night, I'll be alll alone at home when S goes back to Birmingham =( Never actually spent a night alone at my place before, might have to get the guys to stay over heheh =DWas meant to have stayed at home the past coupla days so I could do some work before Paris, but it hasn't been happening =P Financial aid for the next 3 months finally came through yesterday, so me, TAD and M went, predictably, shopping!! Heheh... wasn't just random shopping though, we bought our Disney passes, exchanged pounds for euros and went in search of clothes, bags, etc to take to Paris with us =D Heheh...Watched Hitch later in the night and I *loved* it!! Will Smith is such a perfect guy, I'd happily marry him, screw Jada! Haha....But yeah, its a watch over and over again kinda movie, I laughed out loud at more than a coupla scenes =) Also, there were quite a few fit men in that movie, other than Smith...For e.g the baddie, Vaughn, wasn't exactly bad on the eyes, and neither was that guy in the end whose grandma started choking on her food... MmMMmMM ;o) I didn't think Eva Mendes looked so hot though, her lips annoyed me... haha...Boys are probably drooling over her though =P I spent *so* much money today, but I've got nothing to show for it!! I got a mani, made a spontaneous haircut appointment, and changed the piercings in my tragus and cartilage... And that came up to an absolute fortune!! =S So yeah, got my hair cut... Was gonna go for a regular trim, but I sorta got more cut off than I expected...Not really liking my fringe at the moment... You can actually see my face!! I love hiding behind my fringe =( Am gonna do work tonight and tomorrow, and get a good night's sleep for Birmingham on Friday... Not to mention fitting packing in somewhere in my busy, busy (yeah right) schedule...heheh... Desperate housewives tonight!! xoxo oh yeah update on the weird train dude : He texted me on Sunday but I ignored it, then I got a call from a witheld number, kinda thought it'd be him so got my guy friend to pick it up. Sunday, March 20, 2005Heys people =)Finally on my (much-needed) break after a hectic couple of weeks! =D Just got out of bed, was catching on all the sleep I've missed out on for the past 3 days heheh...Friday was, as expected, one big stress, what with the test and the poster and map to hand in...At 5 minutes to 1 (assignment deadline) I was basically running around like a headless chicken, panicking cause I hadn't stuck anything on my poster yet =P Bless L though, she finished hers a coupla minutes earlier so she helped me with the sticking on heheh...Weirdly enough, on that day, my coursemate, who I've never actually had a proper convo with, kept coming over to speak to me and ask me all these map-related Qs. Silly though, he's way smarter than me =P Anyways, L said something about that, which's got me thinking heheh...(Very vague I know, but bear with me haha). Oh yeah, an indication of how busy/stressed I was : Aforementioned coursemate wished me a good Easter break and said he'd see me in Ireland, and it took me a coupla seconds to register that it actually *was* end of term! D'oh! =P Friday night was pretty chilled out, friends came over to say bye before going home for Easter, and we had pizza and tons of wine! Well, the others did anyways, I just stuck to my Shloer haha...I wasnt a very good conversationalist though, I was half asleep by 9 and was quite happily sharing my comfy seat with L, both of us almost falling asleep heheh...Went to bed pretty late again, and got up at 630 the next am to make my train to Notts for BruNotts heheh... So, BruNotts was quite cool, was cheerleader again this year (never an athlete, always a cheerleader heheh) Although to be honest I got quite bored in between the team's games...Was pretty cool thought, got to hang put and catch up with people I hadn't seen in a while. One thing that annoyed me though: The one time I left my station above the indoor footie pitches, I missed *the* fight!! =P Apparently 2 teams came to blows over something or other, and I missed it by thatmuch..Hmph =P Left Notts at about 730pm, and I was so tired I fell asleep on the train to Sheffield, where I had to change over for my train to Leeds. Thank goodness I was woken up by this guy or I would've missed my connecting train! =S I was quite grateful to this guy, but warning bells started ringing when he then would not leave me alone =S He was on my train to Leeds as well, and at first he was alright, asking general Qs about where I study, etc etc. Then he tried to guess where I was from and he got a bit freaky there, going "Well, you can't be from so-and-so, cause you're too beautiful..." And more further freaky stuff.. He asked for my phone number, and I couldn't think of how refuse politely, so I gave him the number. Was thinking of giving a fake number, but thank goodness I didn't, cause later on he (very nonchalantly) took his phone out and rung me! My phone was on vibrate mode, and I pretended to not feel a thing, but it was pretty freaky that he'd ring me while he was right next to me, just to check that I gave him the right number! =S Then he called a friend up and was like "Oh I'm sitting next to a girl from Brunei, and you would not believe how ravishing she is, etc etc etc" I was sitting there thinking "Oh sh*t, I'm screwed" I was wondering whether I could make a quick escape by pretending to go to the loo and not come back, I was that scared =S I was so scared that he was gonna take the train all the way to Leeds, but he got off 2 stops before me, in Doncaster, thank god =S And even before he left he gave me another call, just to check whether I *did* really give him the right number...He wouldn't get off the train til I took my phone out and he saw that it was, indeed, ringing! Scary or what...?? I might not ever travel alone on a train at night by myself again =( Gonna have a quiet, restive day today in front of the telly...Will have to work tonight though, and go into uni tomorrow, to finish all my assignments before I leave for France and Ireland. Bleh... Random thought: Why is it, when you see something in a shop that you don't quite fancy, you can just leave it, but as soon as someone else has that something, you start to want it as well? Note: Am not talking about shopping here, it was the only analogy I could think of to kinda explain my question =P Replies to taggers and pictures in next post, til then, Ciao! xoxo Wednesday, March 16, 2005I was having a perfectly good day today til I came into uni and saw the results of the last test I had for a module. Suffice to say, I f*cked it up. Royally. I've never actually done that bad in any paper before. And cause everything I do this sem is taken into account for my final degree, that last mark didn't help me one bit. Got another test this Fri for the same module, Lord help me. Really, really disappointed now. Tempted to just say "Sod it" and not do any work. Sod the bloody map and mcq too. I just cannot be arsed anymore. Can y'all tell that I'm not in the best of moods? Snapped at my mom all throughout our convo tonight and I've still got more bitchiness to spare.Careful, this bitch *will* bite. I need to hit someone/thing/whatever. I hate this. Tuesday, March 15, 2005Look, look, new layout!!! Courtesy of this lovely, lovely lady, Insomniac! Thanks, so much babe, I love it! =D *hugs*Weekend was tiring, both physically and mentally. Basically didn't have a weekend, cause we left early Friday morning, straight to the field, and on Sunday we spent another 6 hours in the field before coming back to Leeds. As a result, I'm exhausted! =( And to top it all off, I've got so much work to complete by this week. Just got an email from my lecturer, informing us of a test he's scheduled for this Friday. This on top of a map and poster that I have to hand in on the same day, plus an online test to complete, and a report to write. All for the same day! *cries* I can't wait for Easter break...Not that I'll have a full month off, I've got another 2 week firld trip to Ireland in April! Check you guys later xoxo Tuesday, March 08, 2005Heheh I know, I know, people usually say to look before you leap, but I've never been one to follow that saying. Booked my flights to and from Greece this afternoon, and I noticed that the flight had a stopover in Milan. Soooo...instead of coming straight back to Leeds from Athens, I booked my flights so I had a few days' stopover in Milan!! Heheh...That was a real spur of the moment decision, I figure I might as well take the chance to visit Milan while I can, since it's a stopover airport, it doesn't cost me any more for the tickets, I just have to sort out accommodations, which I'm sure'll be fine! =) I *so* can't wait to visit Milan, Ive even bought a Time Out guidebook to visiting Milan! =P This means that I'd have to come home later than expected, but that's a small price to pay =D I've spent so much though, the tickets cost more than I expected, cause I got some travel insurance as well...Can't wait for my allowance =SI skipped my practical today. Had a perfectly valid reason though. M and I were having coffees at the union 10 minutes before my class, when clumsy ol' me decided to spill cafe mocha all over my light coloured jeans! It wasn't even a minor spill either, it was a major, down the crotch and leg kinda spillage! =P At first I wasn't gonna go home to change, but then I just felt too uncomfortable. Plus the stains were sooo bad...Was gonna rush right back to uni after changing, I took a taxi back and everything, but when I got home, I just kina thought Nah... can't be bothered...Haha =P Had dance today...Wasn't too bad, since my partner was unavailable, I danced with this other guy who hadn't been to classes in a while, and had forgotten all his steps, so it was kinda slow going...Oh yeah right, does anyone else find it disturbing that this working guy(aged about...25-26), who pulled his 16(17?) year old partner during our ball on Saturday, asked me for my email address today and was saying stuff like "Oh, well if you get lonely during Easter vac, with your friends being away and all, I can keep you company" He didn't say that exactly, but that's pretty much what he said...It's just that.. I might be a bit too old for his tastes lol! =D Anyways, enough chatter, I is off to work on assignments now! xoxo Sunday, March 06, 2005 Rob and Tanya, I *love* her dress!!  (slightly) inebriated boys ;o)  With Kev and Ant  *Total* coincidence, us 3 turned up in the same colour =P Hiiiiii!! Finally, finally, finally, booked my flight to Paris for Easter!! *yay-ness* Me, TAD and M're leaving on 27/3 and coming back 1/4, and I can't wait!!! =D =D Got a pretty good deal on it I think, the tickets were comparatively cheaper than the ones we've been looking at online. Can't wait, Disneyland/Louis Vuitton/Paris Chocs're calling my name!! *bounce* =DDancesport ball last night was great fun! I love seeing everyone dressed formally, plus guys in tuxes are super-hot =D The food was gorgeous, even the vegetarian option (surprise, surprise =P) and I had a gorgeous 3-chocolate gateaux cake for dessert...MMmmmMM ;o) After dinner, there was an awards presentation thing, and for some reason, I got a cert for being "The Biggest Cutie-Pie"(!!) haha *blush* Thats definitely going up on *my* wall ;o) Of course, when you hold a dancesport ball, you'd expect loads of dancing to go on, and trust me there were loads! I think we danced for at least 3 solid hours to cheesy hits, like the Macarena, etc etc haha...I'm not sure that we could've done proper competitive dancing anyways, looking at the amount of alcohol that was being consumed on the premises last night..*lol* A couple of the guys I danced with dipped me low to the ground, and another picked me up and spun me around! I felt like a proper dancer =D =D I think I pulled a back muscle when I was being dipped though, my back hurts like hell =/ One thing I noticed last night, quite a few dance partners are actual couples, and I think that's sooo sweet!! That's definitely what I want next year, someone tall, dark and handsome *and* a dancer! Not too much to ask for, is it? ;o) But seriously though, how sweet would it be, if dancing as partners brought you together as a couple? And it'd definitely help in some of the more.....sensual dances if you actually had some feelings for your partner.. *head in cloud 9 about falling for her partner...swoon* lol! =D But then again, that'd also mean if you had an argument with your partner, your dancing'd be affected....Hmm... We finished at about 1 am last night, and a couple of the advanced girls got upset and started crying cause they were graduating this year and wouldnt be able to dance for Leeds again...Pretty emotional ending to the night really...One girl'd been dancing with her partner for 3 years and she's graduating this year... She was just crying her eyes out, bless her =( Wonder if that's what I'll be like next year...I know I'm definitely gonna shed more than a few tears when I leave for Greece in May...It'll prob be the last time I'll see T and A forever and ever(except for one visit in Xmas) =( Unless they come visit me back home, and what're the chances of that happening pretty soon? =S Bleh.. shouldn't really think about that now I guess =( Pics from last night after this, but first : Chris, Ena, MissTress, S-O-L-I-D and Dreamer: Lawa kan the bags? I'll be back in Brunei in a coupla months and then I'll be back here for my final year! *shivers* Scary =S It's snowing again btw, will it ever stop? =P Although I prefer snow to rain, to be honest, it's prettier and doesn't mess my hair up as much *barbie moment* haha =PY'know, I thought PMT only occurred before the actual event, so why'm I still in a weird mood? I'd be happy one moment, and the next, come crashing down and I'd be on the verge of tears! Damn hormones =P That's what happened in my practical class yesterday, was fine in the first hour or so, and then *bang* , my mood came crashing down and I felt crap. It was probably cause of the fact that I couldn't really do the exercise, which stressed me out, and someone(s) had said something which kinda hurt my feelings =( The funniest thing happened to TAD y'day, in the middle of a convo with me in our bar, she kinda toppled off right onto the floor! Lol!! Haha...sorry babe, it was too funny, and your expression...heheh ;o) Dance was alright, R, my Bulgarian friend, tied a red and white band around my wrist; apparently, on 1st March, all Bulgarians do it, and I was supposed to make a wish while she tied it around me. Then when I saw the first stork or tree in bloom, I was supposed to take the bracelet off and put it under a tree and apparently, my wishes would come true! Seeing as how the UK doesn't have storks in general, and the weather's been a bit crap for blooming trees, I might have to wait a loooooong while for my wish to come true =P After dance, on my way back to my place with the girls, we passed by a group of shady looking guys huddled along a corner and when we walked past one of them called out to us going "Excuse me! Excuse me!" I was thinking, oh great, they're gonna ask us for money/drugs/etc. Haha stereotyping I know, but what else was I meant to expect? So I turned around and one of the guys went "See dude! I toldja it wasnt Lucy Liu!!" Haha... me and the girls kinda went "o...k...." and walked away... Haha.. pretty cute line though, I have to say it was original! lol!! Dancesport ball this Saturday, R and K are getting ready at my place yay =) Now I need to look for my dress and hope that I fit into it still =P I'm tempted to try and get onto the Dancesport committee next year, nothing major though, Treasurer would be good I think... I can't handle my own money, but I do pretty well with other people's!! ;o) Off to try and do some work, but think I'll curl up in my chair with a hot drink first! xoxo
