Happy New Year Everyone!!!! *showers everyone with hugs and kishes* =D =D
Just a short post, will be having dinner at a Chinese restaurant with the other Bruneians later tonight, and then going to Millennium Square to catch the countdown..After that hopefully, we'll be dancing the night away at Bar Risa in town!! Wheeee *hyper*
I was hoping it'd snow today like last year, but the weather appears to be getting milder everyday, what's up with that?? =( Well, at least that means I don't have to wrap up warm tonight heheh...

But I have nothing to wear!!!!! =O

*goes away to raid closet*

I'll see y'all next year!! xoxo

I. Can't. Study!!!!
I've been sitting at my table reading my textbook but its just not going in!! Stuff that I read 5 minutes ago are instantly forgotten when I try and absorb the next set of facts in!!! Arrgghhhhh =/
Plus I've taken a can of Diet Coke so the caffeine'll keep me up and I'm already feeling kinda hyper, but I still can't study!! I'm screwed =/

Ladies and gentlemen, presenting the arrival of....Exam Panic!!!

Goood morning everyone!!! =D *checks watch* Or rather, good afternoon =P Heheh...Had a great night last night =D =D The other Bruneians came over and we had a blast hanging out, watching movies and just being silly =) Coen cooked a gorgeous dinner (roast vegetables and fried noodles) and the boys cooked chicken in hoi sin sauce, which was yummy =) =)

The title above refers to my question to everyone in the room every other 10 minutes or so haha.. For some reason I was really really hyper last night, and so was TAD!! Now, anyone that knows TAD knows that she's usually the first one to fall asleep during our sleepovers, but last night she was holding strong!! Haha.. There were 7 of us (3 girls, 4 guys) altogether trying to get some sleep in the lounge, so it was an interesting sleeping arrangement to say the least lol...I had to share half a duvet with 2 guys, and one of them *cough reza cough* kept stealing my half away =P TAD had an easier time seeing as she was on the couch, so she didn't have to share anything with anyone heheh...

The guys were trying to get me and TAD to sleep, but I dunno, we just couldn't...Maybe there was something in the air that night haha ;o) We eventually got to sleep this morning at 6 am..Not by choice though, me and TAD had to leave the lounge to use the toilet, and when we got back 10 minutes later everyone else was (pretending to be) asleep! =( So, since we had noone else to kacau, we eventually fell asleep =P

Got up at about...1130 this morning, and been faffing about since then...But last night was my last proper fun night til New Year's Eve, because I seriously have to buckle up and get my work done or I am really really screwed =S Gonna shower now, see y'allz later!! xoxo

Hi everyone, my name is Fina, and I am a... *takes deep breath*... shopaholic. There, I've finally admitted it. No, seriously guys, I think I've got a problem with spending and shopping...What brought this on? Well, y'see, I went into town today AGAIN! Actually, I had a legitimate reason for going, we needed to get groceries for the house, we were literally devoid of food in the house, since the supermarkets were all closed for Xmas break...I was also going to get a pair of curling tongs, just for the heck of it =D

Sekalinya kan kan kan, and I don't really know how this happened, I went past Harvey Nick's and decided to stop by sekajaaappp saja, just to see whether they've restocked their shelves or not (and also to take a peek at my turquoise Balenciaga bag that I can't afford =P) Somehow I left Harvey Nick's with 2(!!!!!) new bags AGAIN!!! No seriously, I didn't plan on getting anymore bags cause I thought I'd seen everything I wanted yesterday, plus, and more importantly, I have no more money left to spend on luxury stuff =/ Sigh.. I am now the (reluctantly) proud owner of a Marc Jacobs slingbag (reduced from 120 pounds to 30) and a teeny weeny cream YSL handbag (price will not be mentioned due to guilt reasons) Bloody hell, I have no willpower to speak off =( ...Return them, you say...? Uh... over my dead body =P I think I'll be looking for part time employment after my exams next semester so that I can fund this burning addiction of mine ;o)

On a lighter note, the other Bruneians are coming over later for dinner yayyy!! It's soo good to have company over cause the house feels really lonely with just me and Coen around =( Last night, after we got home from TAD's we literally just sat around in the lounge, watching TV and occasionally swearing about how cold the house was cause the heating hadn't come on yet =P

Anyways, so that I don't screw up my financial situation AND my future degree and career, I'm off to try and start working...

Might post up pics of my bags *cough*all 4 of them*cough* later! xoxo

Oh yeah, almost forgot, Happy 21st Birthday to my darlin' back home, Teck!!! Have a great day dude and enjoy yourself, ok?? Wish I was around to celebrate with you =( Your gift's on its way over (well as soon as I get it to the post office anyway =P) Lots of Hugz, Kishes and Love from Leeds xoxo

Whew, I've finally finished unpacking and putting all my stuff away from the last week...I now have a huuuge load of laundry to do (too much info? =P) Heheh.. anyways, let's have a recap of the past week, shall we?

Prague (or Praha, as the Czechs call it) is a gorgeous gorgeous place...Its such a historical city, and all the buildings have been maintained so that they look exactly the same as they did centuries ago...Our hostel was a bit further off the main town, but transport was easy enough once we got the hang of the tram and subway system..Heheh...speaking of which, we practically travelled free while we were there cause noone checks that the passengers've bought tickets to ride the subway/tram...So that saved us a coupla pounds everyday =D The food was so so so cheap as well, too bad there wasn't any halal food *at all* in Prague...Well, not that we found anyways..So we stuck to pasta, pizzas and seafood. We also had frequent coffee and cake breaks thruout the days because the place was freeeezing...seriously, I've never been that cold in my life, and I thought I was safely and warmly bundled up with like 4 layers of clothing...On the first day of our trip I even had to find a Tesco's so i could get an extra pair of thick socks; my toes were hurting, it was that cold =S We visited most of the tourist sites: churches, synagogues, and the Prague Castle..Speaking of the castle, the castle is guarded at multiple entrances by royal soldiers, and most of the time these soldiers were young, hot guys *grr* Men in uniform, ladies, how can anyone resist?? ;o)

The shopping in Prague wasn't anything spectacular, I thought with the exchange rate, things would be a lot cheaper, but they were all mostly the same price as in the UK, if not slightly more expensive, so that was kinda disappointing =/ However, fans of Bohemia and Swarovski crystal pieces would wet themselves (and bankrupt themselves) if they came over to Prague, cause there were hundreds of the crystal shops everywhere...Literally every corner you turned would have like at least 3 crystal shops...And the exchange rate made sure that everything is cheaper than usual...Now I'm not usually a fan of these Bohemia thingys, but a certain friend of mine *cough Coen cough* was soo into them, running in and out of almost all the shops we walked past that I eventually got influenced and gave in. Haha.. just call me a sheep =P I didn't get any of the crystals for myself though, I bought them all for my mom...Only thing is, I can't give them to her til next summer cause I have no way of sending them back without the risk of them breaking :o( My favourite purchase has to be this pair of black Bohemia swans..They're so cute, they'd look really good in my living room at home... (I hope)

Prague was chock-full of tourists, but some of the locals were proper bitches (ice cream shop and crystal shop). I don't know what they had against us; they were either jealous of our gorgeousness (very likely =P) or our coolness..I think it was both =P

All in all, the trip was a fantastic break away from Leeds, and I couldn't have chosen a better group of people to have gone to Prague with...We got a lot closer to each other and even picked up a couple of theme songs along the way! Lol...Now, anyone interested in Paris for Easter? =D =D

Back in Leeds, I've been going kinda mental with the Boxing Day Sales...Went out yesterday, but there wasn't veyr many shops open, so I just got myself some basic Ts and a couple of dvds...Today, all the shops had their sales going on full blast and I just went kinda overboard..and spent a whole lot of a whole lotta stuff *shakes head* I was in good company though heheh... everyone did major shopping, so I didn't feel too guilty =D I got myself 2(!!) pairs of shoes (Adidas Varios and Fcuk trainers) and 2(!!) handbags (Dolce and Gabbana, Miu miu) but then again, so did TAD, A, and Coen, right babes? ;o) Haha..so even thought I am now officially broke at least I am not alone in my broke-ness ;o) I was telling my mom about my purchases and was saying that I'm gonna have instant noodles for every meal the rest of the month (kira hinting lah tu kan) and she went "Aw... poor you, mau me hantarkan Maggi?" Haha...Penyeluru basar banar, now I know where I got my penyeluru-ness from =P I was hoping for offers of financial help kah, purchasing help kah...Speaking of purchasing help, I really wanted to buy this cute 'ickle Balenciaga bag, but it wasn't on sale, and it cost a whopping 430 pounds for something barely taller than a textbook!! So that's something for me to save up for =D I really wished I went to the Harvey Nick's sale earlier though, by the time I made my way there, the shelves were all empty of the sale items!! *cry* They had huuuge discounts too, the Gucci were half price, and Burberry had a 40% discount *sigh* Or maybe it's better that I didn't go cause I probably would have ended up spending all my allowance for the next three months and that wouldn'e be very smart =/

Anyways I shall go to bed now, pictures to come tomorrow :o)

p/s; Does anyone wanna join the Leeds paintball team?? Drop me a tag if you're interested!!

Nightyz!! xoxo

Did anyone miss me??? *looks around* Nope, guess not :( haha.. Anyways, just a short update to let y'all know that I'm still alive.. Got back from Prague on Friday, been hanging out at TAD's place for the past coupla days, just chilling and (wait for it) XMas shopping!!!! Oh the joys of Boxing Day Sales...

To cut a long story short, Prague was fantabulous (more on that and pictures later) and as for the sales... let's just say I'll be living on instant noodles for the next month or so...And I place the blame on 2 pairs of trainers, 2 handbags, and various other stuff *shakes head*

Going to have dinner (Maggie, btw haha) and sort my stuff out, and then I need to start studying!!! *exam jitters*

Have I mentioned that I might possibly be the clumsiest girl in the world? On Thursday, me and Coen were lounging in front of the TV, and I had a mug of tea next to me...I was lying down and I accidentally kicked the mug over! =S That was bad enough, but then I checked the floor, and it was't wet at all, so I assumed that the mug was empty when I kicked it over...But then when I got up to check properly I realised why the floor was so dry : All the tea had spilt into Coen's handbag, which was next to the mug!!! *cringe* To make it worse, it was her new Valentino handbag!!! *double cringe* Oh and both her phones were in there too, and they were literally swimming in the 5 inches of tea in the bag!!! *dies* Luckily though, Coen's been an absolute angel over the whole incident *hugs* heheh... Muchos apologies chica!! Like I said, you're welcome to borrow my phone til yours gets fixed, and any of my clothes/shoes/handbags/whatever =D Hahah..can you guys tell I feel as guilty as hell? =/ Sigh... so yep, stay away from me people, or I might just burn your house down around you while attempting to make toast or something =S

Went into town again yesterday to change my sterlings into the Czech Kroner(sp?) Also managed to get another fcuk top, a necklace, and some other random purchases...Sigh... Whatever happened to saving while waiting for my allowance??? Saving so I could get my uber-expensive handbag during the Boxing Day sales?? =P Went right down the drain, just like my other resolutions..

Got home at about 2 am last night, after hanging with the girls at Ka Bibah's, we just wanted to 9surprise) visit her before we left, but she managed to cook us yet another great meal...That lady is an absolute star =D Will miss her when she goes back for good this January =( So yeah, got back at 230, got ready for bed, then decided to search for my hat and gloves for Prague...After 30 min of searching my closet high and low, I've only found my gloves, but no stripy snow hat =( Which means, I'll have to brave the Saturday Christmas shopping crowd to nad myself a new hat =/ God I hate shopping on Saturdays, the crowds are just scary...Add the fact that it's only 7 days til Christmas to the recipe, and I am in for a whole lot of fun later *puts protective gear and helmet on*

Should be getting ready for town really, meeting up with a friend for dinner later, we have some catching up to do =) M's staying over at mine's tonight, and leaving for the station together tomorrow....I still haven't done *any* packing!!

Ciao! xoxo

Hi all! =D thought I'd do a bit of updating while I'm in the mood.. Today's been a good day, woke up early, puttered around the house for a bit, then went into uni to sort out my ISIC as well as money for my Prague trip..and then and then and then...I ventured into town =P Haha..I desperately needed to get my hair and nails done, so I had a valid excuse to go into town =D Heheh that last sentence made me seem really high maintenance, but my fringe reallly needed trimming, plus VS did it for free =D As for the nails, I just wanted a simple pick me up...Omg, fcuk had a massive sale on today, how evil??? So yeah...I've had a productive day and my ol' balance has had a bad day *blush*

Yesterday was pretty interesting...My housemate somehow managed to destroy her light fixture, and guess who had to stay in and wait for the electrician? =/ Oh oh oh one cool thing though, I got my dior bag that I sent in for repairs back...Well..in a sense anyway...They couldn't fix my bag, so they sent me a replacement...only it's not the same bag!! They sent me a Boston bag, when I sent in a cute teeny thing =S The bag I have now is huuuuuge =/ Well least I'll be able to carry everything but the kitchen sink around in it =P So anyway, at about 9++ we somehoe got it into our heads that we should go to Bradford for Nando's the same night...So we got up and did!! Even after me and Coen had had dinner *greediness* haha.. But I couldn't say no to Nando's now could I...Then afterwards, everyone came back to ours for a movie marathon and sleepover session...Well, I say movie marathon, but it was more like *one* movie (The Eye 2) and going to bed in the early parts of the 2nd movie ;o) Ireally really wanna watch Billy Elliot but noone else was interested sigh =P Might watch it tonight actually heheh...

Right, am gonna sort my room out while listening to Il Divo's album (soooo sexy) and then maybe I'll watch a movie....

Catch y'all laters!! xoxo

/start random post

I'm bored!!! Bored, bored, bored =P And it's only the 2nd day of my holidays...26 more days to go...Heheh...(Cue 3 weeks from now and I'll be like : Oh my god, I've got a week of break left, and I haven't done anything!! *panic ensues*) =P

I'm alone at home as I type this, everyone else is in uni/at work...I couldn't be bothered to go in cause I thought I'd stay and sort my notes out... hasn't happened yet though =P Going to watch Phantom of the Opera tonight yay-ness! =D I am such a big fan of musicals, I hope this one lives up to the hype...

Went into town yesterday to get gifts for a couple of my friends, and I went into Pilot just for a quick browse through, and I found this gorgeous LBD (Little Black Dress)! Its a halter-neck, completely backless, except for a tie in the middle, and its got a slit all the way down the front...It actually isn't as revealing as it sounds, and I'm thinking it'd be perfect for a night out, or as a latin costume, cause the skirt is pretty flare-y...The cost of my gorgeous dress? 13pounds!! Bargain or what?? *Iski-ness*

5 more days to Prague!!! Woohoooo!!! xoxo

Wow, how good does it feel to finally be on XMas break?? Heheh..Pretty damn good, I'd say =D So, weekend update...

Manchester was reallllly good, Me and Hide actually managed to advance to the quarters in almost all my dances =D =D Looks like the extra practice actually came in handy heheh..My girls in Manchester came by to say hey too, bless them...Thanks for coming ladies, sorry I couldn't hang out for long...For team walk-on, I did the cha, so I wore the same costume that Rachel wore to the Nottingham ball, where she popped out..So I came very prepared by practically taping my whole chest into the dress haha...We wouldn't want a repeat of Nottingham now, do we? =P It was a great day, overall...But oh my god, I messed up my first waltz...We were dancing, and I thought I heard the MC say, "Thank you couples", meaning it was time to stop, so me and Hide stopped waltzing...But apparently, we'd both misheard and all the other couples were still dancing!! *blush* Thankfully we got through that round, the judge must have missed our little incident heheh =P Pics from Manchester later.

Got back from Manchester at about....130am and I walked back alone from the pub as per usual...Halfway up the hill to my place, Tom texted to ask where I was, so I told him...and he actually came down the hill to meet me, even though I didn't ask him to! How sweet is that?? I got a telling off from him though, for walking home alone at that time of the night...Heheh..He loves me really *innocent*

Got out of bed at 130pm on Sunday, caught up on some lost sleep heheh...Later that night, I went to Natasha's place, she celebrated her birthday yesterday...She lives at Samara Plaza, which is like...5 min away from Uni...It looks like a really nice place to stay in, wonder how much it would cost to stay there...? Went to Creation again last night, it wasn't as crowded as Wednesday, but cause it was Sunday, it was full of....sleazy, icky people =S But there was a big group of us, so it was great fun...I slipped and fell on my knee at one point though, and I've got this huge bruise on it now =( Didn't hurt my foot or anything thank goodness, my first thought after I fell was "Crap, what if I've injured my foot and I can't dance??" Haha...

Think I'm going to town later today, meeting up with Sophie from dance for lunch, plus I need to get a few bits and bobs for myself...Thinking of watching Phantom of the Opera later tonight, I haven't been to the movies in a while now...Oh yeah, speaking of movies, what *is* this Shutter movie that I keep hearing about?? Lawa banar kah?? Is there any way I can get it here? Anyone from Brunei nice enough to send me a copy? *blink blink* ;o)

Oh my god people, I have this weird dude texting me all the time!! I left my name and number at the halal meat shop a couple of weeks ago because I wanted to know if they did halal turkey and they weren't sure, so I left them my details so they could get back to me. And this guy knows the cashier/owner/worker/whatever, and he "begged" for the number, and that silly guy bagi jua =/ How annoying?? =P Although, in a way, it's kinda flattering that someone would go to all that trouble, but at the same time, it's slightly....weird =S I'd much prefer a text from a certain someone than him though =(

Whoa.. this's been an extra long post heheh....Off to have breakfast now, Ciao bellas! xoxo

Hey ho people! =)

Last day of term today, yayyyy!! *bounces around* haha...Can you guys tell that I'm excited? =P So Wednesday was pretty good, it was the RocSoc Xmas Party, and almost everyone in my year was out, so it was a good night...We started off at the Walkabout bar, and moved down the road to Creation at about 1130 pm...Walkabout was loads of fun, we had the whole upstairs floor (almost) to ourselves, and the RocSoc committee members were dressed as elves, how cute? =D There was a Santa too, played by one of our sleaziest lecturers!! Haha.. to get our free entry ticket into Creation, we were supposed to sit in Santa's lap and get them off him, but no way was I going anywhere near the guy =/ So I just got them off the President, who's my friend, luckily enough *grin* And and and, Jack was there last night too!! It was really weird, I sent him a text earlier that night telling him I'd be in Walkabout, next thing I knew he was there; apparently he was on the way to the library but his friends were in the bar, so he decided to join them...Coincidence much? =) Went to Creation after that, but that place was absolutely crap...sooo packed and cramped, I couldn't find enough space to breathe, let alone to enjoy the music and dance =/ Only stayed there for like 15 min before I left...Some people were pissing me off as well, so I was enjoying the place even less...

Met up with Jack yesterday for a drink...He's such a cool guy, pandai bercali ani wah... and he does it with such a straight face that I can't tell whether he's lying or not =P Couldn't hang out for long, cause I had dance practice at 5, so that was a bit crap...Apparently, when he was in his gap year, he joined the army, and is a qualified skydiver(!!) I'm sure you ladies all agree with me when I say: Men in uniform are (super) sexy... =D =D Now if only I could get hold of pictures of him in uniform, I'd be a very happy bunny...heheh ;o) Won't see him til after Xmas break now, he's blatantly gonna come back with like, a supermodel gorgeous girlfriend or something, knowing my luck =P

Was supposed to have sorted out my Paleo practical sheets yesterday to hand in later today, but somehow got distracted (as per usual). So, off to write about ammonites, dinosaurs and other dead thingys! =D

End of term, end of term!!!! *dances around the room*

xoxo

Tuesday, December 07, 2004

Whew, finally, a night where I can just hang out without worrying about any long overdue assignments. For once in my life I've actually finished my assignment due for tomorrow!! How good is that?? =D So once that's out of the way, there's only my Paleo pract hand in on Friday and it's term over!! *bounce*

The dance competition in Manchester is this Saturday, but it doesn't seem like a lot of people from the beginner's class're going...Jack's not going either, apparently he's going home =( Which means that since today was the last dance class til after exams, I won't see him til like... end of January =( Anyways, I'm hoping that another girl from dance, Natasha can make it for Saturday, or I seriously won't know anyone there =/ Oh yeah will be practicing dance everyday from tomorrow til Friday this week =S

Actually, I don't really know if I even really like Jack, or I like him just for the sake of liking someone...? Does anyone go through these phases where they just really want someone to have fun with, etc? Or is just me..? Cause at the moment, I feel that there might be a distinct lack of guys in my life =S Seriously, just knowing that somewhere out there, someone might like me'll make me feel tons better..any takers? ;o)

I've been invited to a house party on Thursday, organised by this guy in dance, was just thinking whether to go or not...If I go, Jack'll be there, but I'm not sure who else is going, and somehow I just don't fancy being the only sober person around =S

Heheh, I've just realised this post was pretty random, think I'll go watch tv now...xoxo

Take the quiz: "What kind of eyes do you have?"

Happy
Your eyes are really happy. you are spoiled, and have a wonderful family who cares for you and will get you anything you want. Your popular, and everyone loves either your style you just how nice you are. The guys love you to death, and they kiss the ground you step on. While your friends ask you for any advice you can give.

Heh, if only this were true to life, eh ladies and gents... =P

Leeds is not a very good city for someone on a student's budget. The shops here are too good to resist. seriously =S

Went into town today to get a few essentials, toothpaste, moisturizer, those kinda things. Was only gonna be in town for like an hour or so, but I kinda overstayed *and* overspent. Went home with everything BUT my my toiletries...D'oh! =P

2 new shops opened in town today, Azendi, a jeweller's and Sole, a shoe shop. Azendi had the most gorgeous stuff out, and they had quite good prices too..Went away with a couple pairs of earrings =D Also got myself a cd player/clock radio from Allders, for 30 pounds, bargain or what?? =D I also got some other very, very unnecessary things...My balance will soon be complaining about today's spree...*hides*

For anyone who watches X Factor here, G4 got through to the finals!!! *screams* I am sooo in love with Jonathan, their lead singer...he's got such a great voice, and the fact that he's a cutie is an added plus ;o)

Really wanted to go to Malaysian Night at the Uni tonight, but I've got too much work =( I'm gonna go read up on the most interesting Marianas Trench now, and somehow cough up a 1500 word essay by tomorrow...

Ciao!! xoxo

I must've heard that phrase like 500 times today during the photo shoot =P What photo shoot, you ask? Well, remember when I had my picture taken for the University prospectus last week? A couple of days later, I got an email from the student recruitment guy asking me whether I was available for another photo shoot on Friday, for the Life@Leeds International magazine coming out next year...Is it any surprise I said yes? ;o)

It was great fun, there were only about 7 of us, and we just went around the uni taking pictures of us chatting, drinking coffee, taking books out at the library, and other normal student-y things. I thought it would take like an hour, but we were doing it for about 3 hours(!!) And by the 3rd location, my cheek muscles were hurting from all the smiling we had to do haha =P Basically we had to pretend to chat and to be having great fun while doing so, so when we were asked to pose, we kept going"I've nothing to say, but I'm laughing anyway ha ha" and all that...I'm sure people thought we were escaped mental patients or something, because we'd be seated around a table, and the photographer says more laughing, and we all burst out laughing at nothing =S

It was kinda embarassing too, especially when they started making us pose in areas full of other students, like the courtyard in front of the Environments School...not only did I see my ex-flatmate, I saw Jack too!! I mean, seriously, I don't see this guy in Uni, like, *ever* and the second I'm near his building doing something silly, he pops up?? The fates're against me, I tell ya =P He gave me a smile and a wink and I was on Cloud 9 haha =D

And we had to get some pictures in my department too!! Now that was another embarassing moment...we were in the bar having some drinks and the photographer goes "Biiig smiles!!" and we'd start smiling...Saw a couple of my tutors, they must've thought I was wacko =P

But all in all, it was a great experience, can't wait to see some of the pictures...Plus it meant I missed all my classes today too *blush* Sorry Paleo practical, but you just couldnt compare to a photo shoot haha

Gonna work before watching Little Britain later at 930, Have a great weekend everyone!! xoxo

Hey alls =)

Got annoyed with Sedi last night, so we left it and watched the 940pm show of The Incredibles instead =D Alice loved the film, but me and Tom thought it was just ok...Nothing too spectacular or anything..I mean, it was good, but not as good as the hype made it out to be...Still very recommended though, I *love* the baby =D

Was in uni from 11-7 today, aren't I the geek? =P Only had practicals from 11-1, but stayed on to catch some of the postgrads from our department do a short presentation on their individual research areas...Heheh...but then I admit part of the reason I went was because the postgrads presenting today were the cute ones ;o) I have a teeny crush on this demonstrator I see every Wednesday and Thurday for practicals, called Ian..he is the very cute-ness =D =D

Was just telling TAD that this year is turning out to be quite different from last year's. Last year, we'd go hang out over at TAD's every other weekend, just chilling with the other Bruneians and having movie marathons or something...Since I've been back this year, we haven't had a single sleepover or proper gathering...I don't really know why, maybe it's cause this year, me and Coen have our own house and stuff...But then again, it's just me and Coen that don't go over, the others still go over and hang out and all..Sometimes it's a bit difficult not too feel left out when we hear that the others were hanging out and sleeping over and all that =S But at the same time, it sometimes feels a bit awkward to just go over and hang out til it's too late to go home...I don't know what's changed really...Can anyone tell me...? *looks around* =(
Talking to TAD always makes me feel better though, she's a schweetie, bless her *hugz*

Recently, I've been going through a phase of really wanting something...I'm too embarassed to put it up here, but it just seems like other people who have them are really happy and all...Heh...Let's hope I snap out of this soon enough =/

I can't wait for dance class!! It's the only thing in my life that keeps me going at the moment..

Signing out,
Me xoxo

Had a meeting today for our final year projects that we'll be doing next semester, during summer. It was super scary actually, cause apparently, we'll be having a week's supervised field trip, and then 35 days of independent projects. Basically, we'll after the supervised trip, we're gonna have to arrange everything ourselves: transport (coach/bus/car/flights), accommodation, food, etc. Its kinda like throwing someone into the deep end of the pool, especially since, for the past year, we've had everything arranged for us =S

Also, I need to choose something that I know I can stick with for a whole 6 weeks, cause it'd be a bit crap if I realise in Week 1 that I have no clue what I'm supposed to be doing. I'd be well screwed then, wouldn't I, seeing as how this is a final year project thing..

There're projects being offerred in the French Alps, Greece, England, Ireland and Scotland.
I've seen a couple of projects that I think I'd enjoy, mainly a sedimentology/paleontology project in SW England, and a sedimentology/mapping project.
Now, I'm not a fit (exercise-wise) girl, and mapping in Scotland almost killed me! All those mountains I had to climb day after day for a whole week... *dies* At one point, one of my lecturers, bless him, had to stay with me on a particularly bad trek, and he even carried my rucksack for me! *blush* So yeah, my point is, if I had to do mountain trekking for a whole 35 days, i'll throw myself off a mountain on Day 1, hour 1 or something =P I ruled out the Alps, cause that was definitely a hard trek project, and anything to do with structural geology went out the window too cause I hate both structural geology and trekking =P

So..that leaves the Uk and Greece. Tjaakko and Hans (geologists back home) have been telling me to do Greece cause they had loads of fun when they did the projects there "back in the day" ;o) I talked to the tutor and he told me that Greece would be the best place for students who wanted to work in the Oil industry and that the terrain wouldn't be as tough as Scotland...And I think I've made a decision...Even though I prefer the lecturers doing the Paleo trip more than the Greece trip, I think I'll sign up to do a project in Greece!!

6-7 weeks in Greece...Can't imagine that..But it should be fun (I hope) The pictures he showed look great, and it's dealing with stuff I enjoy doing in class, so... yeah...Greece, here I come!! *bounce* Only problem is, I won't get back to Brunei for agesss =( and my friends were planning to do some travelling before going back home for attachment, but I won't be able to join them...Also, 2 of my housemates're doing a year abroad in the US next yr, and I so bet they'll have gone home by the time I come back from Greece =( Sigh...but I do think I've made my mind up... so yeah..fingers crossed that I'll get onto the Greece projects!!

Waiting for housemates to come home, we were gonna watch the Incredibles tonight, wonder if it's still on...? Got tons of work, so this'll help de-stress us all a bit..Also went on a bit of a Mikey shopping spree after class today heheh...

Mineralogy's beckoning me, so off I go!! xoxo
